Alex is a dedicated volunteer at RUSA and actively supports LGBTQIA+ immigrants with their medical needs, addresses their social determinants of health and fights barriers to their care. (finding resources even in challenging financial circumstances). He works as a Program Coordinator for the LGBTQ+ Care and Research Program at NYU Langone Health system.
He was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and moved to the United States in 2014. He graduated with a double major in Biochemistry and Anthropology from Seton Hall University in 2020. With a passion for making a difference in healthcare accessibility, he aspires to further his education by attending medical school in the near future, continuing his impactful work in support of marginalized communities and fighting their health disparities.
